About
With the global shift towards card payments, the future of cash is uncertain. "Payment Issues: Explore Your Payment Personality" examines individual payment preferences and challenges the push towards a cashless society. Our project aims to design innovative solutions that uphold the choice between cash and card, reflecting the diverse reasons behind payment preferences and fostering informed decision-making. The goal of this project was to create a product that encourages individuals to reflect on their payment preferences, emphasizing the importance of preserving the freedom to choose between cash and card.
Discover
Research was conducted on the advantages and disadvantages of each payment method, as well as sensitive data one may unintentionally give away to understand their respective impacts. This was followed by interviews where participants shared their payment preferences, and we provided printed summaries detailing the data they disclosed with each method.
At the end of the interviews, participants were asked, "Are you confident enough in the security and reliability of card payments to envision a future where cash is no longer needed?" The responses were highly varied, revealing a range of surprising and insightful comments about trust, security, and the future of payments.

By evaluating seven distinct components and using intuitive icons for payment preferences, we create a detailed and accurate badge that represents your unique traits. This method allows us to integrate multiple aspects of payment behavior into a cohesive visualization, providing a clear and comprehensive picture of your payment identity.
Develop
The decision tree provides a systematic method for uncovering one's payment persona by navigating through a series of targeted questions. Each path through the tree reveals insights into payment preferences and underlying motivations, such as attitudes toward privacy, convenience, and security. This interactive tool identifies individual payment identities and clarify the diverse factors influencing payment choices, offering a comprehensive understanding of payment behavior.
Each persona offers an in-depth view of distinct payment behaviors, capturing the unique motivations and concerns that shape individual choices. Fun facts corresponding to each persona provide additional insights, making the exploration both informative and engaging.
Deliver
Our mobile test allows users to explore their payment identities, highlighting the personal and societal implications of moving towards a cashless society. By doing so, we aim to foster a conversation about the future of money and encourage people to make informed decisions about how they choose to pay.
